OFF SEASON BEGINS

It was a great lesson learned from my AOW experience, at 333 lbs I was just to heavy and to damn awkward to be a competent diver. I made it thru, but barely. The above surface gear prep proved to be my biggest

challenge and of course the amount of lead and air I needed was limiting. I had no idea what SAC rate was back then but based on my early dive logs, I was hitting around 1.2 - 1.3 cft / min of gas on dives. Not exactly efficient ! So I worked all winter, shed over 100lbs and worked my way into much better conditioning. This proved to be a massive lifestyle change that was needed regardless of diving, but I couldnt wait to start the 2020 dive season strong, ready to commit to a busy schedule and improve as a diver. What I didnt know was the world was about to be hit with a global pandemic !
